
Dr. Jan Schwenkenbecher is a biochemist. After his study at the Humboldt-University at Berlin and the University of London he worked at the Max-Delbrück-Center of Molecular Medicine in Berlin-Buch. He got his doctorate at the University of Potsdam in 2001.
As a postgraduate student he worked mainly on the areas of tumor immunology and gene therapy with the goal of re-directing patient-derived immune cells toward tumor cells. During his postdoc time Dr. Schwenkenbecher worked at the Charite, Berlin, at the University of Georgia, Athens, USA, and at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, mainly at molecular basics of the spread of agents and vectors of infectious diseases and of developing drug resistance.
His scientific expertise comprises the subjects biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, virology and parasitology.
He speaks German, English and Russian fluently.
Dr. Schwenkenbecher’s work focuses on international and national patent applications, worldwide trademark applications, correspondence with contract firms in over 100 countries and advising of worldwide clients.
